Las Vegas, a city that was founded in 1905, will finally get his first professional sports team. Starting the next season, in the NHL will be performing the 31st team named Vegas Golden Knights.
Commissioner Gary Bettman, owner of the new franchise Bill Foley and representatives of other teams presented the name and logo in front of T-Mobile Arena, which will be home to the Golden Knights.
“We want our team to be known for the dedication, honor, strength, courage, and the fact that never gives up – on the ice and off it. That’s why we wanted name and logo that represent exactly that. The logo and the name Golden Knights represent all what this place is, and what will be our mission, ” said Foley.
T-Mobile Arena capacity is 17,368 and has already hosted two games for Los Angeles Kings in the preseason in October.
The first game Las Vegas will play in the season 2017/2018.
