Antonio Gates claims Philip Rivers ‘Definitely Capable’ Of changing Rodgers In NY

Antonio Gates claims when the Jets are searching for a veteran to displace Aaron Rodgers in 2010, they need ton’t check much more than Philip streams … telling TMZ activities he believes the 41-year-old is actually “definitely capable” to do the work.

Gates made the state call at Beverly Hills this few days … in aftermath of research that ny may potentially keep an eye out to provide a QB that is big-name Rodgers’ season ended with an Achilles tear on Monday night.

“Philip is someone that’s definitely capable of doing it,” said Gates, Rivers’ old Chargers teammate. “Just because the mental capacity that he has.”

The likelihood of the signing, though, seems slim at the moment … Jets head coach Robert Saleh said this week his team is rolling with Zach Wilson as its starter — and any help that is outside generate is, no less than for the time being, a backup for the 24-year-old.
