Ex-North Dakota Gov. Ed Schafer Had Automotive Stolen Whereas Internet hosting Radio Present

North Dakota’s former governor Ed Schafer was reside on air Friday morning when he discovered his automotive had been stolen from a Fargo radio station’s car parking zone.

Police phoned KFGO whereas Schafer, 77, was visitor internet hosting the “News and Views” program to see if he was the proprietor of a 2020 Yukon, Schafer instructed the outlet.

A thief had swiped the automotive from the station’s car parking zone to drive himself to a probation workplace and switch himself in, the ex-gov discovered from the station’s receptionist.

“I was on-air and the receptionist came in and said, ‘The police are on the line. Do you own a 2020 Yukon?’” he recalled. “I said, ‘yes,’ and she said, ‘It was stolen and they have it.’”

The car has a push-button begin function, which requires a key fob — however Schafer admitted he had a behavior of leaving a spare fob within the car.
